Go back to the days of the Core Sets (which are now discontinued), where you would often see a bunch of one creature type dominating the set. The mythic rare Baneslayer Angel thrives in this era of MtG. Its’ mana cost seems reasonable for its power and toughness, as well as for what the card can do while it’s on the field.
You get flying, first strike, lifelink, and protection from demons and dragons. I don’t know about your feelings towards this particular card, but it’s this kind of crazy cards that makes me love Magic: the Gathering. I also forgot to mention that it’s a 5/5 for a five drop; most angels mana cost are crazy high for something that brings a lot less to the table.
Which one of these heavenly beings is your favorite?
As always, thanks for reading my blog!
